i really felt like i was going to explode, i mean, so angry that i could imagine myself just bursting and my skull cracking my flesh splattered all over and my brain which is tofu-like splashed on the floor etc.
REALLY VERY PISSED CAN.
our open lab is supposed to start this week, meaning when the lab is opened ie. wed and thu u can go in anytime from 9-6 and carry out ur project. and for this module we are supposed to purify glutamate dehydrogenase (this enzyme) from the rat liver that is given. the steps are like MANY and confusing. but thats not the point.
the point is that on tue night i was asking them like oh so wad time shall we go tmr? THEN THEY ALL FUCKING IGNORED ME. nabei!! this is not MY project leh, its a group project and group effort!
im sure some of u remember me kaopehing about a china bitch in my group who does nothing.. guess wad? SHES STILL NOT DOING ANYTHING NOW! and she actually thought that we are purifying malate dehydrogenase, and she didnt do any ANY research too! wow! what a great group member to have!
so in the end we met really late like 2+pm on wed and we started discussing and planning our protocol, which ALL the other groups have done like decades ago.. but never mind the livers were not ready so we could only prepare our buffer solution and yup DISCUSS. its tough enough that we are all not really prepared, (except for the protocol/research paper dom found for me. thanks kor!) and our dearest friend from china kept quiet throughout! and that guy kept making ridiculous and pointless remarks.
but oh wells never mind thursday we shall start properly and everything will be fine right? NO FUCKING WAY! i swear EVERY SINGLE GROUP started homogenizing the liver and do enzyme assy and maybe salt precipitation already but we only fucking DISCUSS. yes DISCUSS again. for 6 whole hours. and all of us got quite irritated with each other, more specifically that girl and i vs the indian chief and the china monster. and the indian chief vs china monster. it was heading nowhere. trying to be calm and really cool i decided to start typing the protocol and a step by step thing that we should follow from next wed onwards.
looking forward for a miracle next wed, no?
2 days down, 9 days left. did i mention the enzyme will have no more activity after 7 or 8 days? great.
