i hate defeat!
yes i really hate it.
i have always hated to settle for second best or anything worse than that.. to me, its no excuse that we had bad starts or our direction sucks.. cos if others can do it why cant we? or maybe i shouldnt use we but i.. cos my partner is great and im thankful for that.. it just sucks to see how lousy u are how slow u are how weak u are.. so what if we are up against year fours? thats no excuse too..
was talking to fiona and we realised round ubin is like a wake up call to tell us its not a div standards anymore.. no more national schools.. fast then doesnt = fast now.. in fact fast then = slow now.. we figured that we have to train alot alot harder..
maybe im being too competitive here.. but, who doesnt wanna win?
when i was swimming my aim was to beat the fastest guy
when i was in volleyball i felt like shit when my coach sub me out so i trained even harder to make sure i remain in first team
when i was in ac canoeing my partner and i took each other as competitiors we'll fight to see who can do more pull ups who runs faster etc and in dragonboat we will see who can go for a longer catch.. in the end we improve together so much so that our max pull ups was the same our 2.4 timing was the same.. a silver in sdba led us to fight even harder for an eventual gold in nationals, beating the very same pair we lost to..
so my point is, competition is very important and being competitive is good! hahah what a warped reasoning..
oh man i need to train harder..
